As quoted from T3, Thursday (08.09.2011), Android is currently controlled by the smart phone market in the United Kingdom and the United States (U.S.), but recent studies from Digitimes concludes that Apple is still doing strong resistance, with projected shipments of 86 million iPhone units for this year.
Projected figures include sales of the iPhone 5, which will help the Cupertino-based company increased this year. The number of projected figures are higher than the success of Apple in 2010, where the iPhone only 'has shipped 47.5 million units worldwide.
Digitimes Research also said that shipments of smart phones by Nokia for their products is expected to fall in 74400000 this year, where as many as 100.3 million units in 2010. While the number of shipments of smart phones from Samsung has increased nearly threefold to 67 million units, which as many as 23 million units.
Even so, predictions of this research is still dependent on the precision of 5 iPhone launched in the next few weeks.
